Story Idea 2

After some feedback on my last story, multiple people told me that my idea was slightly over done and predictable so I decided to scrap the use of ice caves but focus on the rug walking through a blizzard in a different setting for a more unexpected and humorous outcome.

Scene opens with a small mound of snow, Rig bursts up from it and climbs out of the ground into a blizzard.
He holds himself from the cold and starts to walk with difficulty against the wind into the blizzard. Rig sees something in the distance and walks towards it. When he gets to it, it's a large box covered in snow. The rig wipes some snow away to reveal the words in big bold letters "Fish Fingers". He moves to another shape and kicks it, all the snow falls off to reveal a tub of ice cream. A light starts to appear over the rig, he looks behind himself and his eyes get wide as it cuts to a large door opening in the sky with a bright light. A large hand comes out of the light and reaches for the rig as the scene fades to white.

Story Idea

This Story idea has me wanting some of the icy caves I have seen in some of my research.

Rig is walks on screen through a harsh blizzard, he is hunched over, hugging himself, he finds a large ice cave and stops to look at it. he shouts "HELLO!" into it and is greeted a few seconds later by a "HELLO!" back, but slightly quieter. he shouts again, "HELLOOOOOO!" even louder and a few seconds more he hears it the same again. he starts to get angry at the voice copying him and shouts "GRRRAAAAAAGH!! STOP THAT!!", after a few seconds he hears "YOU SHOULD STOP!!" and then a low grumbling is heard getting louder until an avalanche comes over the top of the cave and sweeps the rig away.

Rise of the Guardians.

I recently watched Rise of the Guardians before we were given this project and there is a scene where Jack Frost is confronting the boogyman in a frozen wasteland with icy crags and snowy dunes all around the scene.
Looking at this and some of the other scenes I found it to be very helpful in ideas for my scene.

Monsters Inc.

When thinking about doing a scene related to snow or a blizzard I want first reminded of the scene from Monsters Inc where Mike and Sully are banished to the Himalayas and meet the Abominable Snowman.
I always remembered how thick the blizzard was when they fell through the door and instantly thought this would be a great effect to include in my animation, especially if it was set in a snowy tundra.
