Texturing

When I was happy with the models I'd done I moved on to how I wanted them to be textured. This involved UV mapping them of which I had great difficulty doing but I am happy with how the final products came out.

Fish Fingers Box

With the Fish Fingers box I used Google Image search to find an example and then used Photoshop to edit it around the UV snapshot of the box I had taken,
Below you can see the box against the checker pattern I used to line it up and below that the original Image.

Ice Cream Tub

For the ice cream tub I decided to use a Ben and Jerry's kind of packaging but since the fish fingers box had been a real one I wanted to look for something slightly more tongue in cheek so I found one with a joke from 'The Goonies' on it as opposed to a real flavour.

Custard Box

I still wanted to stick with the old style of custard box that I'd thought about in my planning stages so that's what I ended up with.

Steak

With the steak, I began trying out my original, cartoony steak ideas but soon realised that I didn't think it would fit in with the scene, so I began by remodelling it and looking into making it look more realistic. I'm really happy with how the steak ended up when all was done.

(Link for the Image is no longer available to my knowledge.)

Snow

The Snow I made on this scene is one of my favorite things due to how happy I am with the effect that was used.
When making this I used bump mapping with a Fractal texture that was already found on Maya, I changed it's base colour to white and with some fiddling of how intense to make it I found a sweet spot where the ground looked ok.

Scene without Rendering

Scene with Rendering

With the snow that covered the items, I remodelled it as I wanted it look look more like snow had been gathering on it rather than just being a snowy version of the item.
